This is no ordinary leather. Vegetable dyes are used to give it a luscious natural colour, imparted by techniques that are the same today as they were five generations ago. It’s a lengthy process, kept alive by a small traditional tannery in the heart of Tuscany, using no toxic chemicals. True sustainability, long before it was a buzzword.
Unique to LISH London, the Spencer Truffle Black luxury dog lead was designed by Britain’s leading dog wear designer Lilly. Each lead is cut and stitched by hand by skilled British saddle makers.
Other details that lift it out of the ordinary include a solid brass lobster clasp lacquered to keep its lustre. The handle also has a solid brass loop, so that when you let your dog off the lead, you can clip it to the clasp and pop over your shoulder or waist, for hands-free carrying on your walks together.

The Spencer Truffle Black Dog Lead is strong enough to last a lifetime and yet soft and supple so it's gentle on your hand. An icon of understated design each one is hand cut and finished by traditional British saddle-makers.
Easy care designer dog lead
It's unlikely you’ll need to clean your Spencer Truffle Black Lead, but if needs a bit of a freshen up, simply wipe with a damp cloth. If it gets wet, simply leave at room temperature to dry naturally. Now and then give your leather a feed with a natural leather wax conditioner that will keep your lead soft, supple, and prevent it from drying out. Please be aware that adding a wax-based product of any kind to your lead may darken the colour slightly each time.
Eco Vegetable Dyed Leather
The quality of vegetable tanned leather develops its own patina over time as it ages and retains many of its natural characteristics. Due to the nature of vegetable dyed leather the colours may fade. When new, it may also leave a trace of colour on your dog’s neck, which is completely harmless and will disappear after a short time.

The Spencer Truffle Black Dog Lead comes in three different widths to match each size of collar to suit all dog breeds. The large size lead is also slightly longer.
